Santec's fully Automatic Swagging Machines brings power, precision and intelligence to the shop floor. Based hydraulics, the system is perfect for shaping tubes or pipes depending upon size and design. It has a robust structure with capacity for swaging tubes / pipes from 10mm to 225 mm O.D. with wall thickness upto 1 to 10 mm. Operation is easy due to the flat surface operation panel with digital Display, which shows the actual upper wheel position at any time.
Models
Automatic Swagging machines are principally available in two different models :
- Hydraulic Swaging Machine or Pipe End Forming Machines Or Tube Pointing Machine
- Rotary Swaging Machine ( Mechanical ) Or Hammer type Swaging Machine.
Application
The machine can efficiently handle variety of job involving reduction of outer diameter of the tubes in cone/cup formation / shape, etc. It can shape different materials including stainless steel pipes, aluminum alloy pipes, brass and steel pipes.

Reliable Hydraulics :
- Designed as per international design & practices, so highly reliable hydraulics
- Assembled with valves that are of internationally reputed make from Rex Roth / Vickers/ Polyhydron/ yuken/ 7-ocean etc.
- Valves are mounted on a specially designed compact manifold block, minimizing piping & chances of leakage.
- Double sealing arrangement prevents scratching of bore in case of seal failure & back up seal offers additional sealing enabling to use machine for some time at a little pressure drop while awaiting seal replacements, thereby avoiding downtime
- All pipelines are of steel with Ferrule Fitting or high pressure hose pipes.
Cylinder :
- The cylinder assembly is complete with gun metal bushes, imported PU- Seals set including piston seals, wiper seals, 'O'- rings, & Rod seals to give leak proof operation. All seals are specially imported from Hallite, U.K., Nok, Japan etc.
- Hard chrome plated Ram gives longer seal life & corrosion resistance. Seamless honed barrel (steel) will be used to give longer seal life.
Structure

The frame of the machine is fabricated from ultrasonically tested quality plates & fully stress-relieved after welding for longer life of the machines. For vertical machine, all the guide & support pillars are duly ground & hard chrome plated for any dent, scratch & corrosion resistance.
Principle
- The machines are principally available in two designs i.e. Push type & Rotary cum push type
- In Push type, there is no rotary movement of the die & the job is pushed into the die with the help of hydraulic cylinder mounted at the end of punch slide.
- In Rotary cum push type the carbide die is clamped into a die head which is continuously given a rotary movement with the help of a D.C. Motor and the punch slide forced the component into the die with the help of hydraulic cylinder provided at the other end of the machine.
- This is purely a cold process and the machine has no heating. Hence, less power consumption, making it highly suitable for industries engaged in mass production of swaged parts/components.
Electrical
- The electrical panel is mounted on right side of frame for operational ease
- The electrical panel comprises of motor starter with overload & single phasing preventer & other components like contactors, relays etc. of reputed make
- The panel is wired strictly as per the industrial electrical standards.
